Life @ Quantic: this is Halloween!

For its fourth edition, the Quantic Dream pastry contest is spreading a wave of horror: no more cookies, this is Halloween! This time four candidates tried to convince a jury of incorruptible gourmets with their creations, to compete for the title of the most deliciously scary cake of the month. Before the big reveal, let’s start with a review of the stars of the day: the cakes!

Presented by Marie, the Dracula’s Red Velvet Pyjamas: red-tinted vanilla-chocolate cupcakes.

For Maéva went for an unexpected salty twist, that she called Bloody Cake: a cake combining flat leaf parsley / basil / chives, topped with a basil-infused glaze and a roasted garlic tomato coulis.

Émeline made the ghostly Halloween Cake Pops: carrot cake, white chocolate candy melts icing, sugarpaste and food markers for the decoration.

And finally Catherine with her Choutrouilles: black sesame cream puffs with raspberry coulis for the guaranteed thrill!

And it was this last recipe that won unanimously, with the congratulations of the jury! A fair return for Catherine, whose talents as a pastry chef no longer need to be proven in the studio, as she regularly delights the teams with her magnificent cakes!

Congratulations again to our pastry chefs for their magnificent creations, and to Lisa, Virginie, Nicolas, Sandra and Alexis for their impartial work as culinary critics!
